We fundamentally designed the DJ Prompt Tool with user privacy as a priority. The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any Personally Identifiable Information (PII). This includes, but is not limited to:

• Your browsing history or activity on any websites
• Any content you generate using AI chatbots outside of the Extension's interaction

2. Information Handled Locally by the Extension

To provide its core functionality, the Extension utilizes the standard chrome.storage API provided by the Google Chrome browser. This allows the Extension to store certain data locally on your device or synced via your Google account (if you have Chrome sync enabled). This data is essential for the Extension's features and includes:

• Extension Settings: User preferences related to the Extension's operation (if any).
• User-Created Prompts: Any custom AI prompts you create and save within the Extension interface.
• Favorite Prompts: A list of identifiers for prompts you mark as favorites for quick access.
• Recently Used Prompts: A list of identifiers for prompts you have recently copied via the Extension.
• Core/Default Prompts: The initial set of prompts included with the Extension.

Crucially, this locally stored data:

• Is NOT transmitted to us (the developers) or any third party by the Extension.
• Remains under your control within your browser's storage system.
• Is used solely to enable features like personalization, prompt management, and quick access within the Extension itself.

3. How Locally Stored Information is Used

The data stored via chrome.storage is used exclusively to:

• Display your custom prompts, favorites, and recent prompts within the Extension interface.
• Remember your settings (if applicable).
• Provide the core functionality of organizing and accessing your AI prompts efficiently.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

Since we do not collect any PII, we do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user information with third parties. Data stored locally via chrome.storage is not accessed or shared by us.

5. Data Security

Data stored via chrome.storage relies on the security mechanisms provided by the Google Chrome browser and potentially Google's sync infrastructure. While we develop the Extension following standard practices, the security of data stored locally ultimately depends on the security of your browser and your Google account (if sync is enabled). We do not implement additional encryption on the locally stored data beyond what the browser provides.

6. User Choices and Control

You can manage the data stored locally by the Extension by:

• Using the features within the Extension to delete custom prompts, clear favorites, or manage settings (if available).
• Clearing the Extension's storage data through the Google Chrome browser's extension management settings.
• Uninstalling the Extension, which will typically remove associated local storage data.

7. Third-Party Services

The Extension itself does not intentionally integrate with third-party services that would collect PII. However, it relies on the Google Chrome browser and its APIs (chrome.storage, chrome.runtime, etc.) which are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we handle information. Continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
